this long fight might have benefitted in watching the whole thing after it ended. The hype is amazing but at this point quite a bit of suspense is being used up while I catch up.

possibly would have been an easier watch. I think the other ones happened so well was because while it was a large battle they sectioned it off nicely in pure days or focusing on one part. With this it's a super long one day battle at this point. With 3 fronts introducing the fourth that is 3 fronts wide when each unit breaks part of their unit at the main force.

Sacrifice the captain to maintain the promise, that's a bold but effective move, however it has lots of things that could go wrong it's literally almost like a sacrifice play that could end up with not just the captain but the entire army (the 3 generals) being killed by the troops following after the right flank (500 horses + the main army after defeating Xin)

Feels like the anime is slowly grinding to a halt. If they needed to wait for more material I would rather they do so than drag it like this. They also seem to be doing their best to avoid focussing on the MC for most of the last two straight seasons. They'll lose their audience they worked so hard for at this rate.

There's way too much material for them to work on. The manga is at around chapter 722 or something while the anime is currently at chapter 400 something

Wait for more material? Don't worry, there is plenty. Enough for 5-6 season as for now and the manga may be going for multiple year as it's one of best selling manga in Japan in the last decade. But as a Seinen, there's is not much advertising like most big Shonen and its reputation is 100% based on the quality of the manga, its story and character. This anime is one of the few advertising for Kingdom just like the live-action movies and both were made because there's is a fan based
It's possible this is not a show for you but don't worry, the fan-based is strong and with the event in the manga, it won't lose its audience
